About 40 and Giving Zero F’s
Essays on confidence, becoming yourself, and not putting your life on hold.
Welcome — I’m Amanda.
I’m a wife, a mom of two girls, a career woman, and a lover of good wine, meaningful travel, honest conversations, and the occasional dramatic hat.
I started 40 and Giving Zero F’s because somewhere between building a life, raising kids, working hard, and doing all the responsible adult things, I realized something:
Too many women are quietly putting their real lives on hold.
Waiting to be thinner.
Waiting for more time.
Waiting for permission.
Waiting until everyone else is comfortable.
I did that for years.
And I’m done.
This is where I write about confidence, ambition, pleasure, motherhood, friendship, travel, midlife, and the small rebellions that make a life feel like yours again.
Not in a “burn it all down and reinvent yourself by Tuesday” kind of way.
More like: wear the bikini, open the bottle, book the trip, take up space, say what you mean, stop apologizing for wanting more, and maybe stop buying clothes designed to help you disappear.
You’ll find essays about:
Confidence in midlife and refusing to shrink
Motherhood, ambition, and raising daughters who already know their worth
Travel, girls’ trips, wine, friendship, and living in the moment
Letting go of perfection, people-pleasing, and the idea that joy has to be earned
The beautifully human stuff in between: bodies, clothes, aging, desire, fun, and choosing yourself without turning it into a self-help seminar
This isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering yourself.
I write weekly. I write honestly. And I write for women who are done waiting.
Life is short.
Open the bottle.
There are no rules here.
